Brook has been with Marks Consulting Partners for 3.5 years, originally joining the Regeneration & Development desk before moving to the Property & Surveying desk, covering the South East. Recently promoted to Team Lead, she brings a strong work ethic, determination and plenty of energy to the team.

But Brook doesn’t just shine in recruitment. She’s also our (self-appointed and much-loved) Social Media Manager, a role she may secretly prefer! Brook runs all of our social media channels and is the creative force behind the engaging videos that have gained over 3million views and helped us attract new talent.

Matthew joined Marks Consulting Partners eight years ago as a trainee with zero experience, unless you count trying to convince his mates to play golf with him as headhunting. Fast forward to today, Matthew is now an Associate Director specialising in the property and surveying industry, helping public sector client’s source technical candidates.

With a degree in Psychology, he likes to think he has a decent read on people. And this does show with how closely he works with his clients and candidates to make recruiting as smooth as possible.

Joshua studied Law at University and was for 12 years a Parish Councillor in his hometown of Milton Keynes chairing the organisation for 8 years.

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Property/Valuations Advisor to work with one of our Council clients in Surrey.

What the job will be doing?

  • Asset Valuations - Work with the Council’s appointed valuation consultants, coordinate the annual valuation process and provide professional review and challenge of valuation information and outputs.

  • Housing / Beacon Valuations - Provide knowledge and support around beacon valuation methodology, comparable evidence, adjustments and the supporting information required for audit.

  • Finance and Audit - Investigate and respond to valuation-related audit queries and provide the professional property input and assurance required by Finance and the external auditors.

  • Asset Classification - Support queries around the accounting treatment and valuation of property assets, including evidence supporting assets classified as held for sale.

  • Property Data Controls - Review and strengthen the validation of property information supplied to external valuers, including floor areas, site areas, lease and tenure information, ensuring appropriate supporting evidence is available.

  • Procurement - Assist with procurement activity across the Estates team, ensuring property commissions are correctly scoped and procured in accordance with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders and procurement processes, and support responses to property-related procurement audit queries.
