We are working with a growing independent construction consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within their Leeds office as part of their continued growth plans.
Following a strong increase in workload, recent project wins and a growing pipeline across multiple sectors, the business is looking to strengthen its project management team with individuals who can contribute both to project delivery and the continued growth of the office.
What the job will be doing?
You will join a team of approximately 11 Project Managers in Leeds, working alongside Cost Management and Building Surveying teams to deliver projects across a broad range of sectors.
Unlike many consultancies, individuals are not siloed into a single sector or client account, offering excellent project variety and broad exposure.
Current projects include:
- Major university capital programmes and campus developments
- Regional airport infrastructure projects
- Museum and cultural heritage schemes
- Healthcare and NHS estates projects
- Defence sector programmes
- National retail rollout and refurbishment programmes
- Higher education masterplanning commissions
- Blue-light, local authority and wider public-sector developments
Responsibilities
• Managing projects from inception through to completion
• Client-facing project management and stakeholder engagement
• Coordinating consultants, contractors and project teams
• Managing programmes, procurement and project delivery
• Chairing meetings and reporting to clients
• Supporting business development activities
• Mentoring junior team members (where applicable)
What you will need?
• Consultancy-side project management experience
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience delivering construction projects in any sector
• Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
• Ambition to develop and progress within a growing consultancy
• RICS or APM chartership (beneficial but not essential)
