Brook, affectionately known as the ‘mum’ of our group, recently moved onto the Property & Surveying desk covering the South East, bringing her trademark energy and dedication with her. She originally joined Marks Consulting Partners just over two years ago on the Regeneration & Development desk. With a strong mind and an incredible work ethic, Brook consistently goes above and beyond, taking initiative and showing unwavering dedication in everything she does.

Her determined personality makes her thrive in the recruitment world. Brook knows how to turn any opportunity, whether a challenge or a win, into something positive, always making the most of what comes her way. If she’s not deep in conversation with a candidate, you’ll likely find her raiding the snack drawer or adding goodies to the Ocado shop!

Matthew joined Marks Consulting Partners eight years ago as a trainee with zero experience, unless you count trying to convince his mates to play golf with him as headhunting. Fast forward to today, Matthew is now an Associate Director specialising in the property and surveying industry, helping public sector client’s source technical candidates.

With a degree in Psychology, he likes to think he has a decent read on people. And this does show with how closely he works with his clients and candidates to make recruiting as smooth as possible.

Lizzie's career took the scenic route to get here. She left London for what was meant to be a couple of months away, and 25 years later she's still gone, having fallen completely in love with South Africa along the way.

In between, she spent years working as a diving instructor, so if anyone in the office knows how to stay calm under pressure, it's her.

These days Lizzie's traded scuba gear for spreadsheets as our Database Administrator, bringing several years of database experience within the recruitment industry to the role.

Freddie Joined us in January 2024 and made a reputable name for himself in the Housing sector before taking some time out of work to travel the world and joined back with the company in August of 2026 to build the companies Finance desk. Freddie is determined to make his mark on the sector the same way he did with Social Housing, and we have no doubt that with time he will be just as successful as he was the first-time round.

Steve brings over 13 years of recruitment experience, having spent most of his career across the Healthcare and Veterinary sectors, so he’s recruited everyone from doctors to vets and probably dealt with a few animals on both sides of the phone.

He’s now swapped scrubs and stethoscopes for hard hats, cost plans and Quantity Surveyors, bringing the same relationship-first approach with him.

Big on proper conversations, straight talking and actually getting to know people, Steve believes recruitment should feel human, and not like you’re being interrogated by someone reading from a script.

What the job will be doing?

The council has 46 high-rise blocks, with each Building Safety Manager responsible for approximately 12 blocks.
The role covers the structural and fire safety of residents, including compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022/2023, Fire Safety Order 2005, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

What you will need?

Particularly interested in candidates with experience of developing and carrying out residential PEEPs and wider Building Safety Act compliance work.
