Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for an Investment Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in Kent.

What the job will be doing

  • Assist the Assistant Director of Asset Management in strategic asset management planning, by regular review and update of the 30 year Business Plan and annual budget submission. Includes option appraisals, management of records and databases (eg Keystone) and undertaking stock condition surveys to inform investment decisions. Work closely with the Asset Delivery Manager and Head of Building & Customer Safety
  • Developing and maintaining the stock condition database and undertaking Business Plan reviews. Assessing and reviewing options for Investment in the stock to maximise effectiveness
  • Maintaining and Improving the condition of the Stock to meet current and future standards
  • Ensure stock data is captured accurately for business planning purposes
  • To maintain a dynamic Business Plan model to provide short, medium and long term investment priorities – and update / review in light of changing legislation or emerging risks
  • To ensure the successful delivery of programmes of work and projects through the Planned and Major Repairs teams. To make sure technical support is offered by the Investment Team for Complaints, Disrepair and Damp & Mould cases.
  • To develop and deliver approach to sustainability throughout our stock, especially our approach to meeting minimum SAP C by 2030 and Net Zero Carbon by 2050. To lead staff to ensure EPCs are carried out as required to update stock condition database (ie Keystone) and specialist energy data software (eg Sava Intelligent Energy) to produce robust, accurate reports to inform business planning, budget setting, delivery of works programmes, progress in meeting strategic objectives, etc in relation to meetings its sustainability targets. Maximise opportunities for seeking and obtaining available external funding
  • Ensure best value for money and ensure strong financial and programme control including effective record keeping, clear procedures and compliance with financial and procurement rules. Ensure effective budget setting and control in conjunction with Finance team and Investment team members
  • Ensure at all times the health and safety of our customers, staff, etc by adherence to all relevant legislation and robust management of external contractors
  • Contribute effectively as a member of Assets’ Management Team
  • To develop and sustain positive relationships with key stakeholders including internal teams. Effective communication is required including with customers, colleagues, partners and leaseholders (inc S20 consultation) to make sure asset management strategies, works programmes and projects are properly understood and coordinated in order to deliver a high quality outcome

What you will need

  • Solid experience of Keystone and Microsoft Teams
  • Membership of RICS/CIOB or other relevant qualification
