Brook, affectionately known as the ‘mum’ of our group, recently moved onto the Property & Surveying desk covering the South East, bringing her trademark energy and dedication with her. She originally joined Marks Consulting Partners just over two years ago on the Regeneration & Development desk. With a strong mind and an incredible work ethic, Brook consistently goes above and beyond, taking initiative and showing unwavering dedication in everything she does.

Her determined personality makes her thrive in the recruitment world. Brook knows how to turn any opportunity, whether a challenge or a win, into something positive, always making the most of what comes her way. If she’s not deep in conversation with a candidate, you’ll likely find her raiding the snack drawer or adding goodies to the Ocado shop!

But Brook doesn’t just shine in recruitment. She’s also our (self-appointed and much-loved) Social Media Manager, a role she may secretly prefer! Brook runs all of our social media channels and is the creative force behind the quirky, engaging videos that have helped us attract new talent. Thanks to her artistic flair and background in textiles, our online presence is becoming a real standout in the industry.

Matthew joined Marks Consulting Partners eight years ago as a trainee with zero experience, unless you count trying to convince his mates to play golf with him as headhunting. Fast forward to today, Matthew is now a Managing Consultant specialising in the property and surveying industry, helping public sector client’s source technical candidates.

With a degree in Psychology, he likes to think he has a decent read on people. And this does show with how closely he works with his clients and candidates to make recruiting as smooth as possible.

Joshua studied Law at University and was for 12 years a Parish Councillor in his hometown of Milton Keynes chairing the organisation for 8 years.

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for an Income Services Officer to work with one of our Housing Associations clients in Essex.

What the job will be doing?

  • Supporting the delivery of an effective, customer-focused income collection service, with a particular focus on rent arrears recovery

  • Assisting Tenancy Officers with arrears collection activity through the Voicescapes automated calling and messaging system

  • Handling inbound calls from residents regarding rent accounts, arrears, payments, and general income enquiries

  • Promoting resident engagement, encouraging sustainable repayment arrangements, and signposting to relevant support services

  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of customer interactions on housing management and telephony systems

  • Identifying and escalating complex cases, vulnerabilities, or safeguarding concerns where appropriate

  • Liaising with tenancy, income, and support teams to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to arrears recovery

  • Supporting residents with access to online services, including payment portals and benefit-related processes

  • Assisting with general administrative duties, reporting, and monitoring outcomes from contact activity

What you will need?

  • Experience working within a customer service, call handling, or income collection environment

  • Experience working to targets and managing a varied workload effectively

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging conversations confidently

  • A customer-focused approach, demonstrating empathy and professionalism

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to maintain accurate records

Desirable:

  • Experience using Voicescapes or similar automated contact systems

  • Experience within housing, social housing, or income services

  • Knowledge of Universal Credit and welfare benefits
