Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for an Assistant Contract Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in Essex.

What the job will be doing

  • Ensuring properties are safe and that the works undertaken by specialist contractors maintain Statutory Compliance.
  • Provide support to ensure processes are followed in an efficient and effective manner for all compliance duties including Gas and Oil Servicing, Legionella, Passenger Lifts and Asbestos.
  • Undertake pre and post inspections of works.
  • Support the Compliance manager in the preparation of Annual budgets. 
  • Monitor spend against budget and report on exceptions. 
  • Prepare cost forecasts & attend the monthly cost report meeting.

What you will need

  • Knowledge, experience or understanding of Statutory Compliance works obligations in both General Needs, Housing for Older People and Supported Housing for a Housing Association or Property Management Company.
  • A Certificate of Higher Education in Construction (NVQ level 4 Equivalent or similar)
  • AGSM NVQ level 4 in Gas Safety or equivalent.
  • A Health and Safety Qualification appropriate to the requirements of the role. – IOSH or similar, or training towards.
